Boom Bap Orkestra are a French Hip-Hop duo that consist of producer Ornykar and emcee Ludje. Their music fuses several styles to create an exciting Jazzy Hip-Hop style. Keeping an old school touch, Ornykar has developed his instrumentals adding several layers of old Jazz samples and fresh drums to get closer to the 90’s Boom Bap sound.

How did you get into music?

When I was a child, there was always music at home.
My Father used to listen Jazz and Soul songs and my brother was a
contemporary artist so naturally, I  grew up with this passion for creation and music.

How long have you been at this?
I don’t know exactly, I think I have been making music for around 8 years.

What have you had released so far?
Nothing really serious except the Boom Bap Orkestra ’s De La Source.

Who have you worked with?
For this album I mainly with Ludje and later with Pumpkin, Doods, S’Pry and Tedji.

What are your plans for the future?
For 2009 I am finishing a full album with Doods and Boom Bap Orkestra Volume 2 which will come out Jan 2010.
