The FakeHunters consist of three talented French musicians/beat makers that blend sampled and programmed influences with smooth Jazz musicianship to create an interesting and diverse sound. They were founded by NoLive and Dadz in 2003 and after several years of beatmaking, most notably creating many flash sound loopers for Skratch nerds, the crew expanded with the arrival of a talented DJ and beatmaker : K’n'K aka Kapp’n'Kutt. The group delivers a unique modern musical identity, being an eclectic mix of 90’s Hip Hop, Soul, Acid Jazz and Trip Hop.

How did you get into music?
No Live: I started learning and playing sax at the age of six and learnt other instruments later on. Much later I bought two turntables and a battle mixer and started to practice scratching. At the same time I made my own beats and loops on PC & Mac.

Dadz: Almost the same experience as Nolive.

KnK: I didn’t learn any instruments like the others but I started scratching and beatmaking before them. I also taught myself percussion and keyboards. 

How long have you been at this?
Beatmaking for 5-6 years, Scratching for 7-8 years, Playing instruments for 20 years.
