Lady Paradox

Not your average female emcee. Lady Paradox brings conscious, honest and intelligent rhymes to a Hip-Hop world that is sorely lacking, with a flow that competes with some of the best British and American emcees. Influences range from artists such as Erykah Badu to Yungun, allowing Lady Paradox to develop her own style of interesting rhymes and quotable lines. Surely this is only the beginning.

How did you get into music?

I always enjoyed writing poetry when I was young, so I just transferred it when I started getting into hip-hop. It took me a while to get comfortable with it and I’ve realised my style suits more of a jazzy laid back feel…

How long have you been at this?
4 Years or so.

What have you had released so far?

Who have you worked with?
Mainly Pat D, but also a lot of other artists – Logan, Efeks, Sam Sure, Selone, Melodiq, Izzy G, Benjamin Zephaniah, FakeHunters and more….

What are your plans for the future?
I’m working on the new album with Pat D ‘Soulscapes & Jazz Breaks’ and some new stuff with Kashmere, Gadget and Afrosaxon. I’ll hopefully have more time now that I’ve finished Uni to focus on music and there’s a lot of people I’d love to work with. I’ll just carry on doing what I love!
